Alhambra 9P – Classical Guitar With Case

The Alhambra 9P is a concert-level Spanish classical guitar for musicians who value subtle dynamics, clear projection and a refined acoustic response. Its solid cedar top works with solid Indian rosewood back and sides to create a full, balanced sound. This is the traditional acoustic 9P, rather than the separate cutaway electric 9 P CW E8 model.

Solid cedar and solid Indian rosewood

A solid cedar soundboard is chosen for its responsive, warm character, particularly when shaping quiet melodies and complex fingerstyle passages. The solid Indian rosewood back and sides support a full tonal balance, from resonant low notes to clear treble detail. Alhambra’s 9P construction incorporates a specialised harmonic-bar design around the bridge area to assist projection and a controlled response. The result is intended to serve a broad range of concert classical repertoire.

Neck and traditional Spanish craftsmanship

The 9P has a cedar neck reinforced with ebony, paired with an ebony fingerboard. Traditional Spanish-heel construction joins the neck and body in the manner used for many handmade Spanish classical guitars. Deluxe gold-coloured tuning machines complement the instrument’s formal appearance. As with any concert-level nylon-string guitar, setup and string choice affect both sound and fretting comfort.

For recitals, study and recording

This model is particularly appealing to advanced classical students, teachers and performing players who need tonal nuance across arpeggios, counterpoint and sustained melodies. It also suits other nylon-string fingerstyle music where acoustic expressiveness matters. Unlike an electro-classical guitar, the standard 9P has no factory pickup system, so consider a suitable microphone if you need to record or amplify its natural voice.

Care, accessories and choosing the right version

Alhambra specifies D’Addario XTC44 extra-hard-tension strings as the standard set. Different tensions may be more comfortable depending on your technique. Keep the guitar protected from extreme heat and changes in humidity, especially during transport. This Barbad product is listed with a case; confirm the exact case configuration when ordering. Barbad Musical Instruments can assist with suitable accessories and delivery in the UAE.
