Clio Extended compared with Clio Straight and Schola
The Clio Straight has the same 44-string range and 172 cm height but a straight soundboard and manufacturer-listed weight of 30 kg, compared with 32 kg for this extended version. Camac describes the extended board as offering a fuller sound; it does not automatically guarantee a louder instrument in every room. The Camac Schola provides 46 strings and stands 181 cm high, so its repertoire range and playing position differ.
Fit, soundboard decoration and UAE enquiries
Check seated posture, pedal reach, intended repertoire and the space required to move the harp through entrances, lifts or stairs. Ask Barbad to verify the exact natural maple/decorated configuration, accessories and protective covers, current UAE price and availability, and delivery or setup arrangements. The instrument’s 32 kg weight is not a shipping-package weight.
