A single-cut guitar with a Jazz and JB pickup pairing
The CR300 Deluxe combines set-neck construction with a flamed maple veneer over a substantial maple top. Multi-ply binding frames the Flaming Burst finish, while a C-shaped mahogany neck carries 22 medium-jumbo frets.
Two distinct pickup voices
- Neck: Seymour Duncan SH-2n Jazz. Designed for clear treble and a controlled low end, with a relatively scooped midrange. Despite its name, the Jazz pickup is intended for more than jazz styles.
- Bridge: Seymour Duncan SH-4 JB. A higher-output design with a more pronounced upper-midrange attack. This makes it a useful starting point for driven rhythm parts and leads that need definition.
Both pickups use Alnico 5 magnets. Separate volume and tone controls let you prepare different settings for each pickup, then choose between them with the three-way toggle. The amplifier and your touch will still play a large part in the final sound.
