Godin Session R-HT Pro Retro Orange with Bag

Godin Session R-HT Pro Retro Orange — Canadian-Made HSS Electric Guitar

The Godin Session R-HT Pro Retro Orange is a Canadian-made solid-body electric guitar with a fixed hardtail bridge and three pickups. Its bridge humbucker and two single-coil pickups offer different sounds through the five-way selector. This makes pickup configuration, neck dimensions and playing feel more useful things to compare than a promise that the guitar suits every genre.

Pickups and controls

Godin specifies a Seymour Duncan ’59 SH-1b bridge humbucker and Lace Sensor Hot Gold pickups at the middle and neck positions. The guitar has a five-way selector, one volume control and one push-pull tone control. Check how the selected pickup combinations work with your own amplifier and effects; the model does not guarantee a particular recorded or stage sound.

Neck, dimensions and hardware

The maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with a 12-inch radius, 25.5-inch scale, 1.65-inch (41.91 mm) Graphtech nut and 22 frets. The hardtail bridge is fixed rather than a tremolo system, and the Canadian Laurentian basswood body has a semi-gloss Retro Orange finish and reverse headstock. These details are worth comparing with your preferred string spacing and setup.
