Altamira N100 CE Classical Guitar

The Altamira N100CE brings the welcoming sound of a solid-top nylon-string guitar together with practical electronics and a cutaway. Based on the popular N100 entry-level classical model, the CE version makes it easier to reach upper frets and connect to compatible amplification. It is a sensible choice for students and guitarists interested in classical, Spanish or modern fingerstyle music.

Solid cedar top and traditional nylon-string response

The N100CE uses a solid cedar soundboard, selected for its warm response at both quiet and stronger playing levels. Laminated African mahogany back and sides make the body practical for everyday use and travel. The guitar is voiced for nylon-string technique, so players coming from steel strings should allow time to adapt to the different tension, attack and fretting-hand feel.

Full-size 650 mm scale with cutaway

A curved cutaway improves access to higher notes for melodic playing. The African mahogany neck and Indian rosewood fingerboard use a traditional full-size 650 mm scale, suitable for standard classical learning materials and solo repertoire. The natural gloss finish highlights the wood without changing the guitar’s simple, approachable appearance.

Fishman EQ pickup and live connectivity

The factory-fitted Fishman pickup and EQ system lets players connect to an appropriate acoustic amplifier, PA or recording interface. Start with modest EQ adjustments and sensible stage-monitor placement, especially when amplified volume is high. A compatible 9V battery powers the electronics; spare power should be considered for regular performance. A guitar amplifier designed specifically for heavily overdriven steel-string instruments may not provide the most natural nylon-string sound.

Who should choose the N100CE?

This Altamira suits guitarists who want a solid cedar top for acoustic practice and the flexibility to play amplified. If high-fret access and electronics are unnecessary, the non-cutaway N100 may be more straightforward.
