Godin A&L Americana Bourbon Burst CW Presys II

Art & Lutherie Americana Bourbon Burst CW Presys II

A reinvented classic: One part workhorse, two parts thoroughbred.

The Art & Lutherie Americana Bourbon Burst CW Presys II (051687) honors the century-old Dreadnought tradition while adding modern versatility for today’s musician. Known as the “Americana,” this acoustic-electric guitar is built to handle everything from campfire strumming to studio tracking. It combines the rugged durability of a plow horse with the exquisite tone and articulation of a thoroughbred, making it a reliable partner for any musical journey.

Key Features

Classic Dreadnought Power The Americana features the iconic Dreadnought body shape, beloved for its booming projection and rich bass response. This model includes a Cutaway (CW) design, allowing easy access to the upper frets (14-fret neck joint) for solos and high-register chords. Whether you play bluegrass, rock, or folk, this guitar delivers a full, commanding sound.

Distinctive Canadian Construction Handcrafted with attention to detail, the Americana uses a unique blend of tonewoods:

• Solid Cedar Top: Provides warmth, depth, and instant responsiveness to a light touch.

• Wild Cherry Back & Sides: A layered construction that offers a tone falling between the mellowness of mahogany and the brightness of maple.

• Silver Leaf Maple Neck: Ensures stability and a smooth playing feel.

Onboard electronics: confirm the fitted preamp

The Americana Bourbon Burst CW Presys II is an amplified steel-string guitar with an integrated tuner. Godin’s current listing describes Godin electronics, while the existing Barbad product attribute specifies Fishman Presys II. Because published model specifications differ, please confirm the exact installed preamp and its controls on the supplied instrument before ordering. Manufacturer model reference.

Vintage Aesthetics Finished in a stunning Bourbon Burst, the Americana exudes a rustic, vintage charm that looks great on any stage. The Rosewood fingerboard adds a touch of class and warmth to the overall aesthetic.

Compare Americana CW with Seagull Entourage

The Art & Lutherie Americana Bourbon Burst CW is a dreadnought cutaway guitar designed for acoustic and amplified use. For a smaller Concert Hall cutaway alternative, compare the Seagull Entourage Rustic Burst CH CW EQ. Both use a solid cedar top and Canadian wild-cherry back and sides, but their body designs and onboard controls differ. Verify the exact electronics fitted to your Americana unit rather than assuming every version uses identical components. See the Art & Lutherie model page.
