Korg LP-380-RWBK 88-Key Digital Piano

The Korg LP-380-RWBK combines a slim digital home piano with the expressive RH3 action normally associated with more performance-oriented instruments. Its Rosewood Grain Black finish gives the cabinet a subtle, sophisticated look, while the fold-down key cover allows the piano to blend into a room when not being played. It is particularly suitable for pianists who practise regularly and want a more responsive touch than a basic beginner model.

Weighted RH3 action and developing musical control

Korg’s Real Weighted Hammer Action 3 (RH3) keyboard is designed to simulate the graded resistance of an acoustic piano, with a firmer feel in the bass and lighter response as the keys rise in pitch. Three selectable touch settings help adapt the instrument to different playing styles. The full 88-key range is important for conventional piano repertoire and also suits more advanced exercises in balance, voicing and articulation.

Thirty sounds, rich amplification and practice options

The LP-380 contains 30 sounds, including several acoustic piano voices, electric piano, organs and strings. Its built-in stereo amplification delivers 22 watts per channel, allowing it to fill a normal practice room without a separate speaker system. Two headphone sockets are practical for lessons or quiet sessions, while the metronome helps with timing. The maximum polyphony is 120 notes; effects such as reverb and chorus allow players to adjust the tonal character.

Three pedals in a space-conscious cabinet

The damper, soft and sostenuto pedals support traditional playing technique, with half-pedal compatibility for a more gradual sustaining effect. The slim cabinet measures approximately 135.5 cm wide and 35.1 cm deep, and the stand-inclusive instrument weighs around 37 kg. These details matter when planning room placement, cleaning space and installation. The RWBK finish blends rosewood character with black accents; the related RW model uses a more consistently rosewood-grain appearance.

Which digital piano should you choose?

The LP-380 is worth considering if a responsive keyboard and a complete home cabinet matter more than portability. Unlike the compact Korg D1, it has speakers and a matching pedal unit, which simplifies everyday practice. Compared with the B2SP, it offers a different RH3 keyboard action and a larger sound selection. If you are fitting it into an apartment, check the measured space, access for delivery and appropriate bench height. Barbad can help compare options for players in the UAE.
