The Zildjian A Custom EFX 18-inch cymbal adds a deliberately different sound to an acoustic drum kit. Instead of behaving like a conventional crash, its cut-out design delivers an explosive, trashy accent with a quick fade.
Fast, distinctive effect accents
Laser-cut openings interrupt the cymbal’s vibration to create the short, dry character that makes EFX models useful for punctuation and dramatic musical changes. The A Custom family gives this effect a bright, lively edge.
An expressive addition to your setup
The 18-inch format suits accents that need a little more spread than a small effects cymbal. It can be played alone for an immediate splash of sound or explored in a stack with another cymbal for additional textures.
Where an EFX cymbal fits
This is a specialist effect rather than a direct substitute for your everyday crash or ride. Consider it when your kit already has its essential voices and you want extra colour for recording or live performance. Barbad can advise on UAE ordering.
