Alhambra 10 Fp Piñana Flamenco Guitar With Case

The Alhambra Signature 10 Fp Piñana was developed in collaboration with flamenco guitarist Carlos Piñana. It brings together the quick response needed for rhythmic flamenco playing and the warmth of a solid cedar top with solid Indian rosewood back and sides. This combination places it in the flamenco negra tradition, where players often appreciate added tonal depth alongside crisp articulation.

Built for expressive modern flamenco

Flamenco playing demands a guitar that can follow rapid picado passages, intricate arpeggios, percussive strums and quieter melodic sections. The 10 Fp Piñana is voiced to support that range without losing the characteristic immediacy of a flamenco instrument. Its response will naturally depend on your technique, string choice and room, but the model aims to offer both rhythmic clarity and a fuller, warmer colour for contemporary flamenco arrangements.

All-solid tonewoods and neck design

Alhambra specifies a solid cedar soundboard and solid Indian rosewood for the back and sides. A cedar neck with ebony reinforcement supports the structure, while an ebony fingerboard provides a familiar playing surface for demanding left-hand movement. Traditional Spanish-heel construction reflects the manufacturer’s established guitar-building methods. These details are particularly relevant to serious students and performing guitarists who care about the guitar’s feel as much as its sound.

Protective and practical details

The factory configuration includes gold deluxe tuning machines, a matte finish and D’Addario XTC44 extra-hard-tension strings. A clear pickguard helps protect the soundboard from the impacts associated with flamenco strumming and tapping. Because nylon-string tension affects the feel of the right hand and left hand, you may want to discuss alternate string tensions after playing the instrument. The Barbad listing includes a case; confirm the exact case type and any package details when arranging delivery.

Who is the 10 Fp Piñana for?

Choose this model if you are a committed flamenco player looking for an all-solid instrument with greater warmth than a particularly bright flamenco blanca voice. It also suits musicians blending flamenco techniques with other Spanish guitar styles. Barbad Musical Instruments can help you compare flamenco and classical guitars, check suitable strings and discuss protected transport in the UAE.
