Alhambra 7 Fc CW E8 Flamenco Cutaway Guitar

The Alhambra 7 Fc CW E8 is a Spanish-made flamenco cutaway guitar that retains a percussive traditional voice while adding comfortable upper-fret access and modern amplification. Its solid German spruce top and solid cypress back and sides are paired with the discreet Fishman Flex M Blend E8 system. It should not be confused with the narrower-bodied 7 Fc CT E2, which has different electronics.

Solid woods and traditional flamenco character

Solid German spruce delivers a quick, articulate soundboard response, while solid cypress contributes to the light, responsive character associated with a flamenco blanca guitar. The body is designed for pronounced rhythm attacks, defined single-note passages and expressive dynamic control. A suitable pickguard and careful nail technique are important considerations for players using percussive flamenco techniques.

Cutaway with a 50 mm nut

Alhambra specifies a narrow 50 mm nut on the CW E8, giving players a slightly different fretting-hand feel from a conventional wider classical neck. The cutaway provides easier access to upper positions, useful for modern flamenco solos and crossover repertoire. An African mahogany neck reinforced with ebony, ebony fingerboard and Spanish heel construction complete the guitar’s core structure.

Fishman Flex M Blend E8 amplification

The E8 preamp combines a Fishman Matrix undersaddle pickup and an internal condenser microphone. Subtle controls allow you to blend the two sources and fine-tune the amplified voice while preserving an uncluttered exterior. A built-in tuner aids stage preparation. For performance, begin with modest microphone blending and increase it as the room and monitor positioning permit to control feedback.
