Ibanez TCY621-BOT Electro Acoustic Guitar

The Ibanez TCY621-BOT is a steel-string electro-acoustic guitar that combines a modern double-cutaway body with familiar acoustic tone. Its Talman shape looks and feels different from a traditional dreadnought, making it an attractive option for electric guitarists who want an acoustic instrument that fits their playing habits. A spruce top and sapele back and sides provide the acoustic foundation, while the integrated electronics make amplification straightforward.

Talman double-cutaway body and comfort

The compact Talman double-cutaway profile offers easy access to the higher frets and a manageable body depth. This design can feel more natural to players accustomed to the contours of an electric guitar. The TCY621 has a 25.6-inch scale and 20 frets, allowing both strummed accompaniment and melodic playing. Its Black Out finish gives the guitar an understated stage appearance.

Spruce top with sapele back and sides

The spruce soundboard is selected for its clear acoustic response, while the sapele body supports balanced strumming and fingerpicked passages. A comfortable okoume neck joins a purpleheart fingerboard and matching purpleheart bridge. Ibanez Advantage bridge pins make routine string changes easier to manage. As always, string gauge, playing style and room acoustics influence the final unplugged sound.

Built-in pickup, EQ and tuner

An Ibanez undersaddle pickup sends the guitar’s sound through the AEQ-2T preamp, which includes Volume, Bass and Treble controls and a tuner. It connects via a standard quarter-inch output to compatible acoustic amplifiers, mixers or audio interfaces. The electronics run from a 9V battery, so carry a spare if you regularly play amplified. Adjust the EQ gradually and position stage speakers sensibly to reduce the risk of feedback.

Who should choose the TCY621?

This model suits guitarists seeking a distinctive acoustic-electric with easy upper-fret access and convenient live connectivity. Players focused solely on maximum unamplified dreadnought volume may prefer a more traditional body. Barbad Musical Instruments can help compare acoustic models and choose suitable cables or amplification for UAE performances.
