The Korg EK-50 is a 61-key entertainer keyboard that combines touch-sensitive playing with automatic accompaniment. Its built-in Styles provide drum, bass and other backing parts as you play, making it useful for home practice, songwriting and informal performance without additional instruments.
Sounds and performance
The Stereo PCM sound generator provides more than 702 sounds and 41 drum kits, with up to 64-note polyphony. More than 280 preset Styles cover different musical genres, while over 170 Keyboard Sets help organise sounds for performance. The illuminated controls and backlit LCD keep sound and accompaniment selection straightforward.
Recording and connections
The built-in 12-track sequencer records keyboard and accompaniment parts. The EK-50 can play MP3 and WAV audio from compatible USB storage and supports standard MIDI files. USB-A and USB-B connections, headphone output, audio input and stereo line outputs support a range of practice and performance setups. Built-in 10 W + 10 W stereo speakers and optional AA battery power make it practical away from a fixed keyboard setup.
