Korg PA5X OR-76 Professional Arranger Keyboard 76 Keys

The Korg Pa5X Oriental 76 is a professional arranger keyboard for demanding live musicians who need a broad sound palette, responsive accompaniment and specialised musical resources for Middle Eastern repertoire. Its 76 semi-weighted keys with aftertouch give performers more range than a typical 61-key arranger, while the Oriental edition adds regional sounds, styles and scale functions beyond the standard Pa5X.

76 keys and expressive stage control

The semi-weighted keyboard supports velocity and aftertouch, making it responsive for organ, strings, synthesizers and expressive regional instrument sounds. With 76 keys, players have additional room for split setups and wide-range parts while retaining a more portable shape than an 88-key instrument. An eight-inch colour touchscreen makes it easier to access performance controls and organise sounds, song settings and accompaniment styles during rehearsals and performances.

Oriental sounds, quarter tones and musical styles

The Oriental version contains dedicated Middle Eastern instrument sounds and rhythms suited to traditional and contemporary Arabic, Turkish and related musical styles. Onscreen quarter-tone and Arabic-scale controls allow performers to change pitch relationships more appropriately for repertoire that does not follow equal temperament. Those settings can be stored in keyboard sets and recalled during a set, saving time when moving between songs or musical modes.

EDS-XP sound engine and performance tools

Korg’s EDS-XP engine includes more than 2,600 factory sounds across the Pa5X Oriental platform, including layered acoustic pianos and a wide selection of drums and other instruments. The arranger supports advanced style and song management, effects and real-time mixing. Dedicated microphone processing, vocal harmonising and guitar-processing functions make it useful for singers or small groups trying to manage a complete performance rig from one keyboard.

Connections, amplification and choosing the Pa5X

Balanced audio outputs, MIDI, USB and microphone or guitar inputs allow the Pa5X Oriental to connect to professional sound equipment. The PaAS amplification system is an optional accessory rather than an automatic part of every package, so performers should plan suitable speakers or a PA. The 76-key model weighs approximately 17.4 kg and is around 123 cm wide. It is best for players who will use its arranger depth and regional resources, not those seeking a simple weighted home piano.
