Camac Concert Melusine Natural Maple Lever Harp

Camac Concert Mélusine Natural Maple — 38-String Lever Harp

The Camac Concert Mélusine is a professional-style concert lever harp with a traditional nylon-string approach. This listing identifies the natural maple finish. The instrument’s range, string feel and manageable cabinet size are more useful points of comparison than blanket claims about volume or suitability for every performance setting.

Range and sound-producing materials

Camac specifies 38 strings, from 1C to 6A (C00–A36). The Concert Mélusine uses Camac Celtic nylon stringing through D26 and Galli lever wires in the upper range. Its soundboard is spruce; the body combines maple and beech. These choices shape the instrument’s design, but the resulting touch and acoustic response should be judged according to the player’s technique and the room.

Dimensions and transport planning

The manufacturer’s listed height is 137 cm and weight is approximately 14 kg. That weight does not include an additional cover or transport case. Plan for safe carrying, enough space to sit and play, and appropriate protection against abrupt temperature and humidity changes if moving the harp in Dubai or elsewhere in the UAE.

Compare Concert Mélusine with Excalibur

The Camac Excalibur has the same published 38-string range but is 148 cm high, 15 kg and uses Kürschner Excalibur-gauge fluorocarbon strings with Galli lever wires. The Concert Mélusine is 11 cm shorter and uses Celtic nylon for much of its range. The better choice depends on feel, repertoire, room, transport and the harpist’s preferences, rather than an automatic ranking by size or materials.
