Want to develop a guitar idea into a complete musical arrangement? The DigiTech TRIO+ Band Creator and Looper listens as you play a chord progression, then generates bass and drum accompaniment that follows your rhythm. It is designed for songwriting, solo practice and building backing arrangements—not for recording a live bassist or drummer. Alongside the automatically generated parts, you can record guitar loops and overdubs to develop a song layer by layer.
Teach the pedal your progression
Connect your guitar, press the Band footswitch and play the chords and rhythm you want the TRIO+ to learn. After you finish teaching it, the pedal builds a bass and drum part that follows your performance. Separate Bass and Drums knobs make it easier to balance the accompaniment against your guitar. This gives players something more musical to practise with than a simple click track, especially when working on timing, chord changes and improvisation.
Choose the style and shape of your song
The TRIO+ offers 12 genres, including blues, rock, pop, country, funk-oriented R&B, jazz and metal. Each genre offers 12 selectable styles, including choices in 3/4 and 4/4 time. The pedal can learn as many as five song parts, allowing you to develop sections such as an introduction, verse, chorus, bridge and outro. You can switch sections during playback or create a programmed song sequence. Tempo and alternative-time controls help you explore how the same progression feels at a different pace.
Looper, effects and connections
The dedicated Looper footswitch records guitar loops with unlimited overdubs, and the Loop knob sets their volume. You can use the looper with the generated band or by itself. Built-in guitar effects can be enabled when you want a ready-to-play sound, while the FX Send and Return connections support additional effects. Separate Amp and Mixer outputs provide flexible routing for an amplifier or a more direct monitoring setup, and a headphone output makes private practice possible.
Storage and who it suits
The included microSD-card system stores up to 12 songs with loops; changing the card allows another collection of song ideas. The TRIO+ is particularly useful for guitarists who practise alone, write original music or need varied backing arrangements. It is not a substitute for a multitrack recording studio, but it makes it much easier to hear how a progression works with a rhythm section. Barbad Musical Instruments can help you compare looper options and plan the necessary connections for your UAE setup.
